The series of exercises presented in Abair Leat! exposes the learner to real-life dialogue that can be put to immediate use. Various assessment methods are used to build up a learning profile for individual learners. Profiles can be viewed by the teaching staff of Coláiste Lurgan.

Learners should appreciate that the sound system in Gaeilge is very different to that of English. Sounds, words and sentence structure are learnt by hearing and putting to immediate use quality material as used by native speakers.

The key to language learning is a combination of motivation and access to quality first language speaker material.
Given that the learner has a reasonable amount of motivation the burden lies upon the teaching material to be interesting while being relevant to the learner's needs when they come to use the language.

It is not compulsory for applicants to complete all sections of this online course. However, it is highly recommended that they undertake as much as is possible. It is hoped that the high level of learner interaction will motivate and engage users.
